During his PhD, he studied the role of Prostate MRI in the diagnostic pathway of prostate cancer, focussing not only on the diagnostic accuracy, but also on quality of life and cost-effectiveness. In 2013 he won the Lauterbur award for best MRI related research from the SCBT-MR (current SABI) and he is author of research papers on prostate MRI, cost-effectiveness, and AI, and was invited for multiple international lectures.

From 2017-2022 she worked scientifically and clinically at the University of Cambridge, UK, where she researched metabolic MRI and radiomics and multiomics in breast and ovarian cancer.

She is currently the Head of the research group for Medical Image Analysis and AI (MIAAI) at the Danube Private University in Krems, Austria.
